Thanks for visiting the website of Amigos de España, the Spain Association of the Pacific Northwest based in Seattle, WA.

Mission
Our mission is to provide a common identity to the Spanish community of the US Pacific Northwest and facilitate cultural, social and educational services and business opportunities for integration from young to old of the community. We aim to foster those activities that enhance mutual understanding and appreciation between the Spanish-American and American communities.

History
On November 21st 2004, the Community from Spain in the Pacific Northwest was honored with the visit to Seattle of Their Majesties The King and The Queen of Spain.

After finding out that the Spanish Community was much bigger than expected and seeing the necessity and willingness to somehow organize the Spanish community in this part of the USA, a group of 13 people started to meet consistently in order to create and develop the “Spain Association of the Pacific Northwest”.

After months of hard work with a lot of illusion, finally the “Spain Association of the Pacific Northwest” was approved by the Federal Government as a Non Profit Organization with the effective date of Exemption from Federal income tax March 3, 2005.

As today we are more than 100 members.
